2nd Act Shop is a charity shop located at Krish Plaza, ground floor at Links Road, Mombasa. The shop is part of a charitable trust, KIDS LEAGUE KENYA, an organisation which main aim is to pay and monitor school fees for Secondary and Tertiary students and provide sports and games training and development for children from a very poor slum area called Kongowea in Mombasa. Our shop is stocked with household items, furniture, trinkets, books and magazines, clothes, electrical appliances, baby- and children’s items and table- and glassware. There is always something interesting or beautiful to find for your home, yourself or as a gift!
Some of our items for sale are donated. Other items, we sell for customers and we earn a percentage of the sales price. This income from our second-hand shop aims to cover all administrative expenses for both the shop and the office. So, 100% of the money donated by our sponsors to KLK goes ENTIRELY to paying school- and university fees for our 125+ students. Other sports- or training projects that we set up are separately sponsored or financed.
So, when in Mombasa, please come and visit our shop and office, which is located inside our shop and spend some time rummaging through our many interesting items for sale. 2nd Act also has an Instagram page 2nd.act.shop where you can view many of our items. You can pay with Mpesa and collect the item from the store, or we gladly pack it and send your purchase to your home anywhere in Kenya or abroad with your choice of transport and at your expense.
2nd Act also organizes house sales, so anyone leaving the country or relocating to another city can get in touch with Vicki (Tel nr. 0722 835 537) or Jan (Tel nr. 0727 852 387) who will take care of your sale. They will come to your house, price all the items, set a date for the sale and invite our punters.
They will manage the sale and take a 20% commission, leaving you free to do your last-minute chores.
